During the last eight years, Jill has worked at St Joseph's Primary School, Stockport, setting up and developing the music curriculum. She has also taught piano at the Manchester School of Music.

Jill is currently organist at St John Fisher and Thomas More Church, Manchester.

Margaret Walker

harps

Margaret studied the pedal harp with Marie Goossens at the Royal College of Music, and as a freelance musician has played with all the major orchestras in the north west. She had a keen interest in the small celtic harp at a time when there was little interest in England and took an active part in the folk music revival of the 60s and 70s.

Playing with Partita has given Margaret the opportunity to broaden her repertoire on the small harp and she enjoys the challenge of arranging early music for her instrument, which has the early style blades.

Roger Child

lute, viol, sinfonye, guitar

Roger studied at the former Royal Manchester College of Music where he became the first student to offer guitar and lute for the GRSM, for which special arrangement was made to study the lute with Anthony Rooley - internationally acclaimed teacher and exponent of early music performance.

In addition to concert work, Roger has held various teaching posts including Manchester Grammar School, Durham University Classical Guitar Society, Chethams School of Music, the Royal Manchester College of Music and Manchester Music Service, where he currently teaches guitar, violin, lute, viol and Javanese Gamelan.
