Margaret Walker
harps
Margaret studied the pedal harp with Marie Goossens at the Royal College of Music, and as a freelance musician has played with all the major orchestras in the north west. She had a keen interest in the small celtic harp at a time when there was little interest in England and took an active part in the folk music revival of the 60s and 70s.
Playing with Partita has given Margaret the opportunity to broaden her repertoire on the small harp and she enjoys the challenge of arranging early music for her instrument, which has the early style blades.
