Music for two guitars

Nichola Dinnigan was born in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and started playing guitar and piano age of 6 taught by her Mother. She began formal lessons from age 11, moving to Huddersfield Music College age 16, then Birmingham Conservatoire age 18 where she took a Degree in Music and Post Graduate Diploma in Guitar Teaching. Whilst in Birmingham Nichola founded and managed the "Conservatoire Guitar Series" with her husband, Simon, where the most renowned players from all over the world were invited to give concerts. Nichola then went on to be Simon's manager & perform duets with him extensively through Britain and Europe.

Nichola founded Matlock Music Academy in 1999, teaching children & adults privately, in schools and in evening classes. Highlights of her career include performing at the Wigmore Hall & performing for Her Majesty the Queen for her 2002 Jubilee celebrations.

Steve Marsh lives in Chesterfield; he has a thriving classical guitar studio from where he has been teaching for over 30 years. He has given recitals throughout the UK including recorded and live broadcasts for the BBC and performances in historic venues including Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Wallington Hall and one at Hampton Court Palace, London in front of Tony and Cherie Blair, Sir Cliff Richard and other well-known personages.

Steve has been in several duo partnerships including ones with guitarists Lorraine Eastwood, Gary Spolding and Paul Fowles and flautist Elaine Thompson. For over 25 years he has toured with folk singer Judy Dunlop, one of the UK's finest singers and together they have released four recordings.

As a composer, he has had numerous editions of his original works and arrangements for guitar published by various publishing houses around the world and in the year 2000 he began his own publishing company called Lathkill Music, which specialises in new music for the guitar. Steve is currently working with British guitar-legend Gordon Giltrap in a huge project to publish all his compositions for guitar over the next few years.

Steve has been on the reviewing team of Classical Guitar magazine for nearly 30 years and in that time has reviewed thousands of publications, recordings and concerts.
